BC Senior Travel Program

What is the Benedictine Senior Travel Program?

Benedictine Military School's international travel program offers senior students incredible opportunities! Are you ready for your senior to embark on an unforgettable adventure? Our Cadets will have the opportunity to explore the world and immerse themselves in diverse cultures during the summer after they graduate.

Past trips have taken students to awe-inspiring destinations like the ancient ruins of Peru, the historic capitals of Europe, the sacred sites of Israel with a focus on religious and spiritual heritage, the breathtaking landscapes of Greece, the lush beauty of Ireland, and the cultural immersion of Japan. These transformative experiences are led by Drs. Adell Sheahan and Drew Schwalbe '90, who bring their expertise, passion, and dedication to making each trip educational and memorable. These journeys not only broaden your global perspective but also foster lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and a deeper understanding of the world around you. Don’t miss out on the chance to expand your horizons and make your senior year truly extraordinary!

These trips are typically limited to 15 students per trip (however, the trip may be expanded occasionally for an additional fee), so make sure you enroll early and reserve your place in BC lore with these amazing trips! You do not have to wait until your senior year to enroll on these trips – in fact, your son should enroll as early as possible in their freshman or sophomore year to ensure their place on the trip is secured.

See the links for upcoming trips that are open for enrollment now.
Your senior must meet certain eligibility requirements to enroll.

Cadet Testimonials

“Being able to see and experience what I’ve learned about in books was life altering and deepened my faith. To actually stand in the places where so many significant religious occurrences took place was so intensely moving.”
– Julian Watson on his trip to Israel

“I thought the trip was amazing. It was my first time out of the country, and it certainly did not disappoint! The destinations are incredible, and the UNESCO site visits are incredible to see, and the itineraries are a fun and memorable experience.”
– Liam Clark on his trip to Greece

“Seeing the religious shrines, experiencing the culture, and participating in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony with my friends is something we still talk about to this day. Doing this trip with my BC brothers made each experience an unforgettable memory in my Benedictine legacy.”
– Benjy Lockwood on his trip to Japan

“I can’t believe I got to spend 10 days in South America with my best friends. I was hesitant to sign up for this trip, but it was so worth it. The evenings were spent watching soccer matches at local restaurants, and afternoons convincing everyone to try the local cuisine. I had always seen pictures of Machu Pichu in textbooks, but now I get to go off to college having really explored it. That’s cool.”
– Harry Glazier on his trip to Peru

“I had to pay for half of the trip, and this was an experience I’ll never forget. From the start, the trip was amazing. Killarney was one of the most beautiful regions I’ve ever been to. The saying is true, everything is greener in Ireland.”
– Sam LeCates on his trip to Ireland
